Same sex travel and Lumera Chalets offers the gay and lesbian travelers a holiday experience for those who enjoy the pleasures of comfort as well as being able to appreciate the sheer beauty of nature combined with the most sensational ocean views which engulfs our guests into a realm of visual pleasure, our coastal vista encompasses the coastline of Falmouth a small coastal village through to the Bay of Fires and beyond to Flinders Island 230 Km away. From the moment you enter our gated property you feel a sense of comfort, security and privacy and as we only have the three chalets you can be assured of a peaceful and enjoyable stay, free from hoards of holiday makers, traffic, children and other distractions.
 
We have three very comfortable solar powered Eco Chalets with the most sensational ocean panorama in all of Tasmania, we are 600 metres above sea level on the historical St Patricks Head Private Nature Reserve Lumera Genena Wuggelena as known by Tasmanian Aborigines. Our cosy open plan studio chalets are timber-lined and appointed with a comfortable queen size bed, a full kitchen with a bar fridge, spacious en suite bathroom, a fabulous pot-belly stove, dining suite, and a small LED colour TV you are able to prepare your own meals.

The Chalets run on 12-volt off the grid solar system which makes our property one of the very few true carbon neutral properties. Lumera Chalets is a true Eco retreat that aspires to carbon neutral  principles.As we are off the grid and on solar power we supply you with a small inverter to charge your laptops and mobile phones etc...sorry no hair dryers.
 
Wildlife roam freely around Lumera Chalets and as we are wildlife carers and care for orphaned and injured wildlife you will have a chance to say g'day to our resident wallabies and wombats.
 
We recommend the Hilly's IGA opposite the Caltex service station for all your grocery needs, they stock freshly cooked free range chickens and pre-prepared salads. We find this is most preferred by guests as they can sit back and enjoy the amazing ocean views and abundant wildlife) The chalets are fully self contained and there is a communal bbq for guests use.
Alternatively the Historic St Marys Hotel has good quality country hotel/pub meals daily.
